Home learning over the holdiays

Thank you to those families that have emailed me regarding home learning for the holidays.  Just in case some parent missed out on the notice we have put together some extra packs.  Your child will have home readers and some students will have a set of worksheets.  If there is anything else we can help with please email me.

Home learning this week and over the holidays

Thank you family and friends of our class for all of your support with home learning.  This week there is a maths home learning sheet and spelling words.  We will continue to send home reading every night up until the last day of term.  If you would like some extra home learning worksheets for the holidays or reading books please email me.  Thanks :)

Week 7 newsletter

Week 7, Term 2 Free Pizza! Thanks to the kind people at Hell Pizza your child can get a free pizza.  There is of course a catch…. Children have to read!  Tick off each section and date and sign them.  When they are full take them in to claim the pizza.  Maths focus We are learning our doubles to 20.  For example 8 + 8 = 16, 4+4 = 8.  We are having competitions and games around this focus next week so please practice.  Room 2 notices Just a few things to think about ·         Please provide your child with warm clothes.  We are in and out of the classroom all day and don’t want anyone to get sick. ·         Name shoes and clothes. ·         Book bags EVERY DAY. ·         Check out our class blog by following links on the website. ·         Your child can collect points in class and may win a treasure. ·         Remember to check home learning books. Writing – we are focusing on using vocabulary that relates to our topic. Maths- we are learning to count on from the biggest number as well as learn our doubles. Reading  - you will need to read with your child every night and sign the book log.  Please bring the book bag every day.         Spelling – please practise the spelling words.  If your child knows the whole set move on to the next set.   This week Monday – Queen’s Birthday Tuesday – Singing Wednesday - PE Thursday  -  Art Friday – Assembly 2.30
